Tonala-style Cat “Missy”. Watercolor on paper. 12”x8” (30cm x 22cm).
Missy inspired my love of Tonala-style pottery and artwork. My parents bought the pottery version of Missy while on vacation in Mexico. She has graced the fireplace hearth ever since.
Tonala-style Cat, “Pedro”. Watercolor on paper. 8”x6” (20cm x 15cm). The pottery original this is based on is a little different in design than most Tonala cats. I like how human his face looks and the overall design has a lot more going on (love the deer).
As Pedro says, “Love is at the root of all good things.”
Tonala-style Cat, “Lydia”. Watercolor on paper. 8”x8” (20cm x 20cm). Another cat with something to say.
